Residential Program – Drug and Alcohol Treatment Centers

Alcoholism and substance abuse addiction are neurological, physiological and behavioral problems. We offer evidence-based education and counseling to treat these disorders. A brain damaged by alcohol and drugs can heal if new techniques of thinking and behavior are learned and applied.

  1. Admission for Drug, Alcoholism, Chemical Dependency Treatment It takes courage to make that first phone call to ask for help. Our promise is that you will be treated with respect and understanding from the start. The Intake Coordinator will take time with you on the phone, answering your questions so you can make informed choices about treatment. We know you may be concerned about health care costs. As part of our services, we contact your insurance carrier and determine the coverage of your particular plan. With this information, we can give you our best estimate of your share of the costs. We accept many types of health insurance, and we offer competitive pricing for private pay clients. Once you’ve made the decision to enter treatment, we’ll provide you a list of what to pack. If you need transportation to our campus, we can help with making arrangements. When you arrive, we’ll assist with the necessary forms, provide a facility orientation, and assign a “buddy” who will guide you through your first few days. Our trained staff will monitor your progress throughout your stay. Special monitoring is provided for the detoxification process. As California recognizes residential treatment as treatment for an illness, you may be eligible for benefits during your treatment stay. The Intake Coordinator can also assist with the completion of State Disability forms. History of Campobello Campobello was founded in 1985 by innovative treatment thinkers Bill Twitchell and Chuck Brissette. Chuck created an effective treatment approach, part of which is shared with clients today. As the field of chemical dependency has developed, Campobello has remained current on best methodologies. We continually upgrade our curriculum with evidence-based approaches that include the neuroscience of addiction and psychopharmacology of drug use. Today, we welcome a diverse group of clients from many walks of life. Campobello is honored to be a preferred provider for a number of labor unions in northern California. 2. Our staff is culturally competent, and we honor diversity by also welcoming members of the LGBT community to our center. We know that alcoholism and addiction can affect anyone; so we are pleased to serve all those whom are seeking treatment. 12-Step Fellowships from Sonoma County meet on our campus five nights a week, providing the opportunity for our clients to meet local sober individuals and build a new support network. Why We are Different Our philosophy toward clients is of one of unconditional positive regard. This term was coined by Carl Rogers, a pioneer in humanistic psychology. At Campobello we apply this philosophy by doing our best to meet and accept the individual where he or she is at the moment. Every client at Campobello is treated with dignity and respect. We understand how much shame is attached to the disease of addiction, and how low self-esteem can sometimes plunge. Learning new information and skills to manage addiction is possible only in an atmosphere of safety; we work hard to create and maintain that for all clients during treatment.
