  1. Animal Research By: YazminFraire The animal I researched is a Walrus

  2. K – W – L • What I Know A walrus has two long teeth. It likes to swim in the water. It doesn’t get so cold. It is a mammal.

  3. K- W- L • What I want to learn How much can walruses eat? How long can they live? How much can it grow?

  4. K- W-L • What I learned Walruses are the second largest ocean-dwelling mammals. Laptev Walruses are found in the Laptev sea. Walruses have large elongated bodies that are wider at the head and neck and taper towards their tail, which is embedded in a web of skin.

  5. Food Sources • The walruses pray are shellfish, worms and snails.

  6. Natural Habitat • The walrus habitats are ice floes and rocky remote coastlines.

  7. Adaptaions • Walruses have two pairs of flippers that are used to help to propel these large animals with great agility through the water. • The skin on the bottom of their flipper is rough and knobbly which help to prevent these enormous animals from slipping on the ice
