Antibacterial Properties of Lauric Acid Monoglycerides

Study by J.J. Kabara shows monoglycerides of lauric acid have potent antibacterial effects against Streptococcus and Stafilococcus Aureus, up to 27 times stronger than the acid itself. Diglycerides and triglycerides are not effective.
