  2. CTC Background • CTC has been a VAR since 1999 • Two authorized Job Profilers • Pat Bratton (2005) • Lauri Guffey (2000) • CTC has profiled 60 positions for business and industry • Most of the profiles were done in the Cape Girardeau Area

  3. CTC Business The following companies in the Cape Girardeau Area use WorkKeys as a part of their hiring process: • Biokyowa • DANA • HAVCO • Nordenia USA • Proctor & Gamble • Rubbermaid • S & W Cabinets

  4. CTC Business • Company testing is done at our site • If an individual does not get the score needed for the company position, they can remediate using WIN • After remediation they can retest for the same company

  5. CTC Education 2001 • We started using WorkKeys with our students • The teachers picked out which assessment they wanted to use for their program depending on their funding and what skills they felt were important

  6. CTC Education 2005 • We started having juniors take the WorkKeys Readiness Assessment • If a junior does not receive the score that indicates they are at least at a Level 3 in reading and math, they will remediate using WIN

  7. CTC Education • Because of Missouri’s focus on CRC, we test our seniors and adults at the end of their 2nd year on the following : • Reading for Information • Applied Mathematics • Locating Information • This gives our students an opportunity to earn a Missouri CRC

CTC Education 2005 • We started using the WorkKeys Readiness Assessment as a pre-test with our WRC (Workplace Readiness Class) in Cape Girardeau, Sikeston, Park Hills and Kennett • If the student does not receive the score that indicates they are at least at a Level 3 in reading and math, they can remediate using WIN

  9. CTC Education • At the end of the WRC program, the class test on three assessments: • Reading for Information • Applied Mathematics • Locating Information • This gives our students in this program an opportunity to earn a Missouri CRC

  10. CTC Education • We are encouraging our staff to take the three WorkKeys Assessments, so they can earn the Missouri CRC and so they know what the test are like

  11. CTC Education Spring 2007 • CTC is scheduled to test all seniors in the following schools: • Cape Girardeau Central High School • Scott City High School • possibly one other school district

  12. CTC Education • This gives these seniors from other schools an opportunity to earn the Missouri CRC
