  1. Centralized Voice Logging System for LC Gate Communication Introduction:LC gate Communication is a point to multipoint communication arrangement where station masters and gateman are exchanging private numbers for train running. Several unusuals were noticed in the recent past where gateman and ASMs were not following proper procedure in train operations and the level crossing gates were kept open to road traffic. In this line lot of field trials were carried out. Initially AE telelink model was kept at VKI station and Sirveen System model was kept at YPD station. These systems are stand alone voice loggers and their performance could not be monitored from the central location. These systems did not deliver the expected level of performance. Hence, a Centralized voice logging model for monitoring ASM/Gate Man Communication is developed by this unit. Special features : • Currently, the system is commissioned at all stations between Guntakal-Dhone-Panyam. • Work Under Progress in TPTY-KPD & TPTY-RU-KPD sections . • Cheaper than stand by voice loggers at each stations. • Client access modules can be loaded in PCs connected in LAN and can view voice logging remotely. • The voice logger records all the sounds from the movement the phone is off hook to 8 seconds after the cradle is placed back. • It stores data on first in first out basis. • The voice logger can record to a maximum of 30 stations and is expected to cover the entire division with procurement of additional cards. Block Diagram: Further improvements: • The facility can be extended for monitoring hot line (used for block working) i.e., ASM to ASM communication. • Technological solutions for tapping VHF set communication are to be explored for logging the same. • GTL-RU, GTL-WD can be planned in subsequent works. • Laying of OFC and End user equipment is mandatory for this work and hence could not be planned in DMM-PAK, GTL-KLU and GY-PDL sections. • G.
