Georad is a georeferenced database containing data of radioactivity in various environmental compartments in Brazil; • Powered by a systematic survey data published in the literature and by providing data directly by the researchers, the system is avaliable on the IRD homepage for the entire public, after registration, researchers can query data and location of natural radionuclides from the series, and cosmogenic, fall out of brazilian matrix.

AspectsofGeorad • GeoRad is a web software available at http://georad.ird.gov.br; • Georad was developed under an opensource platform (LAMP – Linux, Apache, MySql, Php); • Generates KML (Keyhole Markup Language) for use Earth Browsers(Google Earth,Microsoft Virtual World Wide and etc); • Our team recomend Google Earth for Georeference;

KML • KML – KML(Keyhole Markup Language) is as XML data format used to display information in a geografic context. • Browsers – reads and display HTML context; • Earth Browsers –reads and display KML context; • KML – is a 3D system – longitude, latitude and altitute that form the three dimensions.
