Surgimento das estruturas formais de Inquisição Os diversos ramos de Inquisição que foram criados a partir de 1184, tinham como objetivo, reprimir com violência, agora de forma mais organizada, as heresias (não conformidade com a doutrina oficial ) e as apostasias (abandono da fé). Também era utilizada para garantir o cumprimento das leis canônicas, as quais regem o comportamento do clero. O termo se refere tanto à Instituição e sua estrutura, quanto seus tribunais, os julgamentos realizados por eles e todo o movimento de repressão. AULA 08 43
