The 2nd Workshop on Radiation Protection Culture, organized by the International Radiation Protection Association (IRPA) in Charleston, South Carolina, on February 10-11, 2011, focused on enhancing the engagement of stakeholders in radiation protection (RP). Discussions emphasized the need to adopt both individual and global perspectives for stakeholder involvement and on strategies for implementing the IRPA initiative. A consensus was reached that RP culture transcends regional differences and is people-centric, contrasting with safety culture. The drafting group's roadmap for improving RP culture was also discussed, highlighting the need for international collaboration.
