OBJECTIVE

Our objective here is to collect PT (saturation data) by operating the boiler and compare that data with calculated one

calaculation procedures
CALACULATION PROCEDURES
  • Obtain the TP saturation data from boiler
  • Plot this TP data(P on abscissa and T on ordinate)
  • Measure the slope of the plot at each pressure reading.this gives dT/dP
  • Obtain the values of calculated slope by ClausiusClapeyron equation Feeding it the values of TsatVfg and hfg from Steam table.
  • Calculate the difference of these slopes which gives you the accuracy of of the ClausiusClapeyron equation and strenghtens your measured readings
how to make it simple
HOW TO MAKE IT SIMPLE…
  • As it is a very hectic job to calculate slope of the graph at 50 points, it can be made easy by using a machine for that i.e. your PC will calculate it for u.
  • All you need to do is to tell your machine what it has to do for u, i.e. communicate with your machine. It need a machine language and you can use one that suits you. Lets use MATLABfor that
