Enhancements and Features for the DETER Testbed Security and Performance Improvements
This document outlines key enhancements proposed for the DETER Testbed to improve security, performance, ease of use, and federation support. Major initiatives include integrating Emulab support for SSH2, adding a GUI for disk wiping, and implementing Emulab validation software. Performance improvements involve optimizing UCB-ISI VPN and exploring new network topologies. Additionally, there are plans to enhance federated capabilities, support for new hardware types, and complete the DETER Dashboard with a focus on tools integration and database failover scripts.
