The Role of the Performance and Data Team…….How we work with Schools. • School Census submissions • Implementing new DCSF returns – Schools Workforce Census • Collection of teacher assessment and test results for all Key Stages. • Creation of individual School data packs • 1st Point of contact for Sims Information and data queries in relation to statutory returns .(The technical support for Sims is provided by RBT Schools Connect Team)

Introduction to the new Performance & Data Team’s Portal sitewww.rgfl.org/pdt One Central Information Point for schools………. • All latest news bulletins • Teams latest newsletters. • Downloads of all Guidance for all Statuary returns –School Census , School Workforce Census , PRU census, Mark sheet entries for attainment of Sat results. • Your schools Key Stage Data Packs. • Your release of Fischer Family trust estimates. • Any future events and all Key deadline dates. • Useful website links that you may use- Raise online, DFES, Teachernet, FFTLive etc.

  5. By clicking onto the tool bar options at the top of the page… this will navigate you to different areas within the team site.

  6. Under this secure area schools will be able to view and download your own data Information. All of these options can only be viewed by your own schools user. Schools Secure Area

  7. Your password would be the same password you would use to log into your RGFL email account. RGFL Account Name Password

  8. This will prompt you to Save the document to somewhere on your own machine i.e. Desktop.

  9. Summary to the Team’s Portal Site • The site has been created to assist Schools. • It is one main source area where schools can access data Information supplied by our Team to reduce your volume of emails. • In the future, we hope to continue the development of this central site so that other school services can upload their information for you to access.   10. Change from “Funded hours” to “Hours at Setting” For 2009, School Census collected the number of Government funded hours accessed by pupil aged 3 & 4 yrs old as at the 31st August. From Spring 2010, in place of this , the School Census will now collect “Hours at setting” for pupils aged 2 ,3 and 4. This item will be collected each term School Census 2010

  11. For Funding purposes ……Please be aware“Hours at setting” will be capped at a maximum entitlement of: • 12.5 hours per week for 2yr old at 31st December 2009. The DCFS will be gathering funding Info on these young 2yrs with Special education needs to be used in the dedicated schools grant. • 12.5 hours per week for 2yr old at 31st August 2009, but 3 by 31 December 2009 (rising 3’s) and also 12.5 hours per week for children aged 3 at 31st August 2009. • 25.0 hours per week for 4yr olds at 31st August 2009

The newsletter will include all Census guidance links to complete the 2010 Spring School Census and School Workforce Census returns. School Census & School Workforce Census Day Thursday 21st January 2010, Deadline date for your submissions into the team is Friday 29th January 2010.
