  4. MT140 Course Overview • Welcome to MT140! This course introduces you to management in the modern American organization. • We’ll explore the environment in which management functions occur. • We’ll look at and survey the specific functions of planning, organizing, leading and controlling (POLC) as they apply to the workplace. • Through a business case study, we’ll examine the concepts of team building, ethics, social diversity and communication.

  5. The Course Syllabus: Your Roadmap to The Course! • You will find our Syllabus in the Syllabus Area of our Course room, and in the Doc Sharing area of our course. I have also sent everyone an advance copy by email. Please print this out. • Also, you can review, or print the first - 3 Units of reading material. These readings for the 1st 4 Units are located in Doc Sharing. • Please review the course requirements and expectations. • Any questions?
