  20. Sample Letter • We send a letter to each member • On the Union’s letterhead • No Cost to the Union for the mailing • Letters are printed in a union print shop

  21. * Postage Paid Response Card is enclosed with each Letter including an Internet address option to complete the card online * All Members are covered by the AD&D Master Policy which the Union holds * Members who return their Response Card will be contacted by our Representatives

  22. NO COST to the Local or the Member • AIL respects the Confidentiality of Membership mailing lists and do not require a copy • 20 – 35% of Members return the Response card • One out of four will purchase additional benefits

Public Relations Checklist • Always use your Altig approved phone script and always be clear on the phone • Always have the correct letter, and mandatory read off letter (http://altig.com/agency/agents/agentletterspage.php) • Leave the home with the member feeling good about the visit • Call the member to let them know you will be late or need to reschedule (to avoid No Shows) • Communicate with PR in advance when working out of town • Use Freshen Up letters • Leave your cell phone number when booking appointments • Be Proactive on any challenges you encounter in the field via the Incident Report Form(http://altig.com/agency/agents/incident.php)
