  1. Welcome to Kristinestad and THE ST. MICHAEL’S MARKET 3-4 October 2014 Reservation and paying The pitch has to be reserved separately for every market. The pitch will be reserved when it is paid by the due date. The pitches can be taken in use on the Market square on Thursday at 10 a.m. and other places at 2 p.m. Market sale on Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Market square will be opened to traffic at 7 p.m. on Saturday evening. OBS! By orders of the rescue services we suppose that every trader is equipped with a sufficient amount of weights in order to ensure a safe assembly of the stand in all conditions. This will be controlled by the rescue services during the market. In food sales and serving the food authority guidelines have to be respected. Food permit phone 06-2218411. Link to the form: www.kristinestad.fi>För besökare>Marknaderna. Unsold market pitches will be sold on Friday at 8 a.m. phone 040-124 6124. In case of double booking, if no other solution is found, a bidding will be held. The electricity fee ,13 € is included in the invoice. If you don’t need electricity you can reduce the decline in 13 €. Night surveillance (organized by local associations) starts on Thursday night at 6 p.m. and ends on Sunday morning at 9 a.m. The night surveillance fee 17 € will be charged in the invoice. We require that the traders mark their pitches with at least an A4 size sign with name and domicile. Dear market trader, The St. Michael’s Market has been held in Kristinestad since 1783, for more than 230 years! This year the market will take place on Friday ,October 3rd at 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. and on Saturday , October 4th at 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Once again thousands of customers will come walking over one of the longest stone bridges in the Nordic countries to the market square to do some shopping. General By order of the rescue services pitches are allowed on VästraLånggatanonly on the east side of the street and parking is forbidden. On ÖstraLånggatanand Strandgatan no pitches are allowed and car parking is forbidden. From the Market place and from Rådhusparken there are transversal escape routes. Because of these arrangements we may have had to move the standard places of some traders a little bit. We hope for your understanding to the matter. Observe that the Market office is now situated in the premises of the Economic Development office Kristinestads NäringslivsbyråAb at Rådhusgatan 2A, 64100 Kristinestad. There is also market information on the following sites: www.kristiinankaupunki.fi and www.visitkristinestad.fi Pitch reservations The pitches are mainly 4x4 m/ square and the price is 86 euro (incl. vat 24%) on the Market square and on Rådhusgatan. For practical reasons pitches are sold also in meters. Standard pitch 4x4 = 116 e. Including electricity and night surveillance.   2. Fire precautions Open flames are forbidden without permission. All Market traders who use open fire or gas appliances have to be equipped with at least a fire blanket and a portable fire extinguisher 6 kg ABC-class inspected during the last year. The fire authorities will control this during the market. In one 4x4 m point of sale it is allowed to have max 25 kg calor gas. Spare bottles must not be stored at the points of sale. In the car it is allowed to store at most 25 kg calor gas. On the map storage cabinets for extra calor gas bottles are marked. We welcome your suggestions for improvement and ideas to make the arrangements as flexible as possible serving all stakeholders. The Candlemas market in Kristinestad will be held on 6-7.2. 2015. Helena Kari “market Madame Captain” Economic Development Centre of Kristinestad Ltd. /Market Car parking The Market traders are allowed to park their vehicles on Packhustorget (Hotel Alma) and on Kyrkotorget (in front of the old wooden church) or by the Swedish secondary school (marked on the map by ”P”), there are also som parking places to the south from Rådhusparken for those traders who have thei pitches in the park. By order of the rescue services the streets VästraLånggatan, ÖstraLånggatan and Strandgatan marked on the map have to be kept free from vehicles. Note in particular We hope that you will inform us as soon as possible after having got this letter, by phone 040-1246124 or by e-mail marknader@krs.fi, if you will NOT participatein the market this year. We have currently about 40 traders queuing… Cleaning & hygiene We expect, that the traders clean their pitches and the area around them every day and also when the market is finished. Trash pallets will be brought to the area. (see “roskis” on the base map). POSSIBILITY TO TAKE A SHOWER at the swimming bath Ankdammen, Repslagaregatan 16.
