  1. NRA CET 2020: Common Eligibility Test by NRA The government is going to take a common prelims exam for the non-gazetted posts in the central government. The government has decided to conduct a Common Eligibility Test (CET) in place of prelims exams for all the government departments Narendra Modi-led Union Cabinet has given its approval to set up the National Recruitment Agency (NRA) for conducting the Common Eligibility Test (CET) for Institute of Banking Service Personnel (IBPS), Staff Selection Commission (SSC) and Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs). The National Recruitment Agency shall conduct a separate CET each for the three levels of graduate, higher secondary (12th pass) and the matriculate (10th pass) candidates for various non-technical posts. Presently such tests are being conducted by SSC, IBPS, Railways and various other organizations. Union minister Jitendra Singh earlier said states and Union territories can avail of scores on the Common Eligibility Test to shortlist candidates for government jobs. "Eventually, this could prove a win-win arrangement both for the employer as well as employee," he said. NRA CET: Salient Features & Benefits Check out some salient features and benefits of National Recruitment Agency CET below: NRA CET will be conducted to screen candidates at the first level only for SSC, IBPS and RRB recruitment Based on NRA CET score, final selection will be made through separate specialised tier- II/tier-III exams to be conducted byrespective recruitment agency (SSC/IBPS/RRB) The score is going to valid for 3 years. Agencies will use the score of CET and take their second stage exam. There will be no limit on number of attempts for taking this examination, but upper age limit will be there. However, the relaxation in the upper age limit shall be given to candidates of SC/ST/OBC and other categories as per the extant policy of the Government. The examination will be conducted in 12 languages that are in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution of India. The curriculum for this test would be common as would be the standard. This would greatly ease the burden of candidates who are at present required to prepare for each of the examinations separately as per different curriculum," the central government said in a statement.  The official website of NRA will have mock tests and 24X7 helpline  Candidates will be able to schedule their tests and choose exam centre of their choice  The CET curriculum such as Exam Pattern and Syllabus will be common and standard for all recruitment agencies. This will do away with the burden on candidates to prepare for each exam separately as per different syllabus.  For the ease of the candidates, each district will have at least one examination center, and in total around 1000 examination centers will be made https://newgovjobs.in     
