What is the DC311 App? Designed primarily to drive calls down from the Citywide Call Center (311). It’s function will also aid in promoting the OUC’s use of current technology. Empowers residents and visitors by enabling users to be proactive in reporting issues in their neighborhood and city with an instant application on their smartphone device.
How to Get Started Download the DC311 App from the iTunes Store or the Android Market. Create/confirm your user profile. You’re ready to start reporting issues to DC311! DC311 App Homepage • Report – Submit a service request to DC 311 (report an issue) • Issues – See service requests submitted in your neighborhood • Neighbors– See your neighbors • Messages – See messages and updates regarding your service request submissions • My Profile –View the number of DC311 service requests you’ve reported, voted for, followed and their subsequent comments and resolutions • Settings– Manage your DC311 user profile and account
From the iTunes Store or Market… 2. 1. Click on the App Store or Market Icon Search for “dc311” or “washington dc 311” Click “Install” to download and install the DC311 app Success! DC311 appears with your apps on your device. Note: You will need an iTunes account to download apps. Click on the app and set up a user profile 3. 4. *Please note that images are provided from an iPhone 4. Screen displays may differ slightly based on your device.
5. Sign Up & Log In Current Location: DC311 requests to use your current location services….click ok. This can be changed or modified from your device Settings. Login / Sign Up: So that the app remembers your issues and contact information you must be logged in with a username and password. Click “Sign Up” to register for a new account. If you already have one, click “Login”. You will remain logged in until you manually log out of the app. Continue Unregistered: To report issues you must be logged in. This feature will only allow you to view issues submitted in your current location, using the system’s location services.

Changing Location When submitting a service request using DC311 your request may be delayed if the address is invalid. To modify or change the service request location follow these steps: Click on the “ > “ Type in the address of the service request Click “Done” Feature varies slightly from Android device. Select the map or use your device Menu to change the service location.
