  2. What Is Verruca And Wart? • A verruca is a very common foot complaint caused by a virus, which can be difficult to treat with complete success. • Though usually painless, they can be uncomfortable, especially if they are on an area of pressure on the foot. • Verrucas appear on your feet. They have tiny black dots under the hard skin. • Verrucae’s and Warts are viral infections that cause think skins, and these hurt when you walk. • Warts can and do spread around the body and they can be passed onto other people.

  3. Meet The SWIFT Machine Treatment SWIFT is a new technology, developed in the UK, which has been licensed for the general treatment of verrucas and warts in Podiatry. Covering the area from Elgin to Dunfermline, Amy from Amy Maclean Podiatry is the only registered podiatrist with the Swift technology.

  4. Currently The Most Effective Treatment Available • No need for constant visits to clinic. • Patients can return to normal daily activity as they walk out of the door. • No need for any anaesthetic. • No dressings usually required. • On average for most patients 2/3 treatments are required. • No need for constant application of acids.

  5. When do I need to see a podiatrist / chiropodist ? If your feet hurt, something is wrong. In this case, we recommend that you visit a professional podiatrist, who can advise you on the best course of treatment. You can also prevent foot problems before they occur by visiting a local podiatrist for advice on how to keep your feet healthy and in top condition. We recommend that you have a regular foot health check with your Podiatrist. Podiatrists are highly trained professionals registered by the Health Professionals Council (HPC) that have trained solely in the area of the foot and lower limb for several years. In order to become an HPC registered practitioner a podiatrist will have undertaken and passed a full-time degree in podiatry at one of thirteen schools of podiatry within the UK or will have met stringent entrance criteria set by the HPC Health Professionals Council.
