This project focuses on optimizing the data replication process for organizations that back up data to remote locations. With the increasing importance of data integrity and availability, the study addresses two key limitations: cache size in local storage and WAN bandwidth. Utilizing a flow control algorithm, we aim to manage these critical resources to enhance overall business performance. Our goals include developing advanced storage replication algorithms and providing customers with tailored system configurations to improve their data replication efficiency while reducing costs.

The replication process affects the business performance of the organization. We wish to optimize this process and reduce costs. The Problem Domain We deal with two main limitations, the cache size in the local storage, and the WAN bandwidth. The Flow control algorithm manages these critical resources under the given data stream. Host Host Fibre Channel Local Storage WAN Remote Storage Host Cache Algorithms Project Goals • We will develop Storage Replication Algorithms that will optimize the data Replicationflow. • We seek to give a costumer a system configuration which will optimize his replication process.
