How to Become an FWC Officer • Florida certified law enforcement applicants must start by completing a State of Florida application and an FWC Supplemental Application through peoplefirst.myflorida.com. • Applicants have to fill out and submit the application online through peoplefirst and print it.

  4. How to Become an FWC Officer • If you get selected by the oral boards, a background observation is then conducted. • After a successful background investigation, selected applicants will be required to complete a vision and psychological evaluation, and a physical, to include a seven-panel drug screening.

  5. At the conclusion of the process, applicants are offered employment and report to the FWC Law Enforcement training center.

  7. Salary and Benefits • Starting salary is $32,836.18, it may be higher depending on county assignment. • Once they are hired, employees benefit from 97% sate funded retirement. • The state provides a free basic life insurance with a benefit coverage of $25,000.
