The Alcohol and Drug Partnership (ADP) in the Borders, represented by PC Gillian Oliver and Officer Susan Walker, focuses on reducing the impacts of problematic substance use. They develop and implement evidence-based strategies with multi-agency collaboration and strategic direction from the Scottish Government. The Safer Communities Team enhances inter-agency links to promote early intervention, coordinates campaigns for drug awareness, and monitors emerging drug trends. Training initiatives empower frontline services to respond effectively to substance misuse, ensuring the community stays informed and supported.
