Main clause and subordinate clause • The subjunctive usually appears in the dependent or subordinate clause, and is introduced by the conjunction queafter the main clause. • When there is no change of subject, an infinitive follows the verb in the main clause – no need for subjunctive. • e.gquieroestudiar la historia.
