  1. . Nightwish is a Finnish symphonic metal band formed in 1996 by Tuomas Holopainen, Tarja Turunen, Emppu Vuorinen. Jukka Nevalainen joined them in 1997 and Sami Vänskä in 1998.

  2. The current line-up of Nightwish is composed of Anette Olzon (who remplaced Tarja Turunen in 2007), Marco Hietala (who remplaced Sami Vänskä in 2001), Tuomas Holopainen, Jukka Nevalainen and Emppu Vuorinen.

  3. Influences Nightwish’s music was influenced by film music. For example, the songs « Beauty and the Beast » « Ghost love Score » « The Poet and the Pendulum » are influenced by film music. The band was also influenced by Fantasy novels like the J.J.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings or Dragonlance. Nigtwish’s songs like « Elvenpath » « Whismaster » and « Wanderlust » are examples of this influence.
