Are Today’s High School Graduates Ready? • High School completion rate-same as 30 years ago • High School completion in the world –17th • Reading skills improvement in elementary and middle school but no better when they leave high school as their peers a decade ago • Gains in Math and Science improved because of improvement below grade 8
