Capacity building for Social Dialogue • industriAll political resolution: • “The absence of well-functioning, representative social dialogue structures in some of the new EU Member States, as well as in the acceding, candidate and potential candidate countries, is of concern to the industriAll European Trade Union. One of the conditions for European Social Dialogue to succeed is its ability to build on good existing national Social Dialogue structures and practices.” • difficulties are aggravated by the economic and financial crisis and consequences for the industry • Offer assistance in building knowledge and skills to contribute to develop solutions and engage in SD structures

Capacity Building Projects • industriAll support is offered in project work in cooperation with other organisations and actors: • 2012: ILO Project “Capacity Building and Strengthening Sectoral Social Dialogue in NMS and CC in EFFAT und EMCEF sectors” • 2012-13: ILO – industriAll cooperation “Decent Work for Workers in industriAll sectors” • 2012-13:  Organisational development project in cooperation with industriAll – GU, IUF, EFFAT, IGBCE and NGG; supported by the Friedrich Ebert Stifung • Assisted by the international project office in Zagreb • Future projects with support of DG EMPL budget lines

  4. industriAll support to regional work • industriAll regions have a special responsibility • a strong TU network in the regions is needed to take up role •  Representation in Steering Committee / regional reports • special support for CEE & SEE regions in the beginning phase/when needed • Annual regional meetings & regional steering group will be set up • TUs to prepare progress reports to analyse activities/challenges/needs • CEE: OS KOVO will assume leadership, together with the other 2 SC members for that region • SEE: 3 SC members will have a collective responsibility to assume leadership in the region
