  4. Environmental Improvement • The improvement that SCSC try to accomplish • Air pollution management • Wastewater management • Waste management

  5. Environmental Improvement • Air pollution management 2 units of Bag house filter plants.

  6. Improvement for Air pollution control • Install new bag house filter plant • (Fume 2) and new natural cooler. • Benefit • Increase capacity of dust collecting. • Increase efficiency of air cooling. • Increase capacity of bag house.

  7. Improvement for Air pollution control • Check and repair damage wall to • reduce dust leaking out at bag house. • Benefit • Reduce dust leaking out at bag house. • Protect water and Moisture leak into bag house. • Increase efficiency of air cooling.

  8. Improvement for Air pollution control • Install new filter bag and repair venturi cone. • Benefit • Improve efficiency of dust collecting. • Reduce dust leaking from stack. • Increase efficiency purging system.

  9. Improvement for Air pollution control • Coat the deck floor and wall of bag house. • Benefit • Protect water and Moisture leak into bag house. • Increase efficiency of purging system. • Increase life time of bag filter.

  10. Improvement for Air pollution control • Modify chain conveyer. • Benefit • Reduce residual dust in bag house. • Reduce frequency of manual drain residual dust to floor. • Increase life time of bag filter.

Improvement for Air pollution control • Check and improve purging system. • Air purging process (pressure • & frequency). • Chamber gate (open & close • system). • Benefit • Increase efficiency for cleaning bag filter and extend the life of filter bags. • Increase efficiency of bag house. • Increase capacity of bag house.

Improvement for Air pollution control The result of opacity analysis from CEMs. Bag house filter 2 Bag house filter 1 mg/m3 mg/m3 Before modify Before modify After modify After modify Note : Standard not over 240 mg/m3 Conclusion The result of opacity analysis show after improve and modify dust opacity (emission from stack) was decrease. And the stability of bag house filter plant was increase.

  13. Improvement for Air pollution control • Protection of dust spreading whileunloading scrap. Before After Benefit : Reduce effect from dust emission. Note : Now SCSC planning to reduce the SO2 , NOx and CO2 emission through the conversion of heavy oil to natural gas in the reheating furnace in year 2011.
