  9. Class Syllabus Overview Welcome to the exciting and wonderful world of sixth grade in Room 305! As students in this class, you will use knowledge gained in prior grades to actively participate in new learning experiences… My goal is to create a learning environment that is comfortable and safe that will result in the increased reading and writing skills of students. Activities, tasks and projects for the school year have been thoroughly planned to challenge students. The design of this class is to integrate all areas of the curriculum applying Howard Gardner’s theory of the Multiple Intelligences emphasizing reading and writing. Taken from September 2001Syllabus for Manning/Room 305

  10. The Pact to Learn I’ve achieved all of my goals except going to the seventh grade I don’t know if I did yet. I signed the Learner’s Creed in Sept. I believe I followed the learner’s creed such as the following “ I’am here to learn”, I believed I followed that sentence because all while I was in this class I learned something new everyday.

  11. Initial Thought aboutReading & Writing The Reading Survey lets me and Ms. Manning know how I felt about reading when I wrote it. Something’s changed on my reading survey like when they asked did I like to read aloud in class, I said sometimes in Sept. but if I were to fill this out again I would say always. My Writing Survey shows what I know about writing and something's about writing. The writing survey has helped me with my writing it has also helped me learn new writing skills. Now I can write mistake free drafts thanks to the writing survey.
