  6. IMPORTANT PEOPLE IN THE HISTORY Antoni Gaudí i Cornet Biography Antoni Gaudí i Cornet was born in Reus or Riudoms ( a small village next to Reus) in 1852. He died in Barcelona in 1926. He was an important Catalan architect, leader of the Catalan Modernism. His works are, among others, “La Sagrada Familia” and “La Pedrera”.

  8. IMPORTANT PEOPLE IN THE HISTORY Prim General Biography • He was born in Reus on 16th December 1814 and he died on 30th December 1870 in Madrid. He was a military governor and a politician. He was a president of the Council of Ministers between 1869 and 1870. In our city , there’s the General Prim Square and a long street called Passeig Prim.

  9. IMPORTANT PEOPLE IN THE HISTORY Marià Fortuny Biography • MariàFortunywas a painterwhowasborn in Reus on 11th June 1838, and died 21st November 1874 in Rome. He was a painter, draftsman and engraver.
