We may only have enough oil left for 43 years of use at this rate. • Some workers in Hong Kong earn such low wages that they can only afford to live in a room shared with five others. • Low amounts of rainfall in some parts of England mean that some areas are currently experiencing drought conditions. • The population of the world will increase from 7 to 9 billion in the next 40 years. • Around 3.6 million hectares of Amazon rainforest lost per year between 2000 and 2010.
