From February to November 2012, the Surrey and Hampshire Canal Society undertook extensive works at Frimley Lodge Park along the towpath, significantly improving public access and safety. Key achievements included constructing a new 40m landing stage, refurbishing the existing landing stage near the Model Railway Club, and paving approximately 400m of towpath with durable materials. Additionally, bank protection was implemented to prevent erosion. Funded primarily through environmental fines, this £25K project greatly benefits community users, although further repairs are still needed in some areas.
