conditioning • adj. Contributing to the process of becoming physically fit. The track coach stressed the importance of conditioning drills.
consoling • adj. Comforting. Marcia's father gave her a consoling hug after she wrecked her bike.
discouraged • adj. Disheartened; in a low mood because of a disappointment. Having never won a baseball game, Nathan felt very discouraged.
endurance • n. The ability to keep going without giving in to stress or tiredness. A marathon runner must have exceptional endurance.
sessions • n. A gathering held for a special purpose. The students met in the library for a study session before the final test.
