  2. What are Course Evaluations? • At the end of every semester you are invited to complete a survey about your classes and instructors. • This survey is to be done the two weeks before finals week.

  3. Why Course Evaluations? • Course evaluations provide important information for many purposes. • Evaluations help faculty assess strengths and identify areas for improvement in their teaching. • Information from students is used by faculty committees to inform decisions about faculty promotion and tenure (ART). • Professors and departments see anonymous feedback and use it to make syllabus teaching and other course changes.

  4. Online Course Evaluation Process • Announcement email sent to CLU email address (if you do not use regularly PLEASE forward your CLU email to your personal email) • Invitation to begin completing evaluations – sent two weeks before finals week begins. • Reminders – email reminders will be sent every three days. You will no longer receive reminders once you have completed your evaluations. Next

  7. Most asked Course Evaluation Questions • Are all courses evaluated? • No, there are some courses that we do not evaluate. Those include any courses with less than five students enrolled, ECON lab, and COMM internship. • What happens if I start and can’t finish the Form? • At the end of each section there is a “Save Progress” button. Using this will allow the students to come back to the evaluation at a later time. • Can professor’s see my feedback before grades are submitted? • No, feedback is seen after grades have been submitted. • Is there a way for the professor to know which evaluation is mine? • No, professors receive aggregated reports with no personal identifiers. An example of the report faculty see can be found at: http://www.callutheran.edu/assessment/resources/CoursEvalforFaculty.php • For more please visit the CoursEval for Students page.
