  2. TAG • The title of this book is Bittersweet 16. • The Authors of this book are Carrie Karasyov and Jill Kargman. • This is a novel.

  3. Hook • If you like a romantic drama and sweet 16’s then you will love this book. • Teen Vogue says “Get ready for major drama”. • This book is about a girl who is not into having her sweet 16 yet her friends are crazed about it. • If you ever wanted to know how much stress and problems that happen during your so called “sweet” 16 then this book is perfect.

  4. Protagonist & Antagonist • The protagonist in the story is Laura. She is a quiet, smart, 16 year old that wants nothing to do with the limelight of a Sweet 16. She goes to an all girls private school in NYC. She isn’t your typical rich, snotty, girl from NYC. She is the opposite just trying to get through high school with her best friend. She is on the poorer side unlike the rest of the fanciest tenth graders in her school. She is totally down to Earth and is really smart. • In this book there are 2 antagonists. There names are Whitney and Sophie. Whitney and Sophie are the richest people in Laura’s private school. Whitney has been the queen bee and Sophie is the new girl from California. Whitney is like “buttery blond and blue-eyed with Wispy facial architecture that Michelangelo would have used as a blueprint for his next statue , she was christened in Baby Dior, summered in Southampton, and sampled her first potato galette with caviar at age seven.” (Kargman & Karasyov 4)

  5. Setting • The book takes place in New York City. It is during the winter. • A few other locations they mention is Laura’s cramped apartment. Whitney’s luxurious penthouse apartment. Sophie’s grand luscious penthouse apartment.

  6. Main Conflicts • The main conflict in this story is that Whitney, Laura’s best friend, and Sophie, the new friend, are having there sweet 16 on the same night. They both decide that Laura needs to pick sides and decide whose to go to. • This is a very tough decision to make for Laura and she can’t handle it.

  7. Plot • The plot of this book is to entertain people with a book. • It is very entertaining and suspenseful. • This book is very addicting and a good book to read.

  8. Thank you for watching my project. • If you want the info on this book again get out a pencil and paper because it is Bittersweet 16 By Carrie Karasyov & Jill Kargman.
