Timeline: 7am – staff arrives, reports to Game Room 8am – students arrive, report to Clark Center 8:30am – guests begin arriving 8:45am – students move to plaza 9:30am – procession begins, faculty joins fromMcCormack, stage party from Campus Center 10am – Commencement ceremony begins 12pm – Ceremony ends, recession to colleges 1pm – College ceremonies, various locations 3pm – All ceremonies complete Office of Special Events www.umb.edu/special_events

  6. What to expect: Over 10,000 people on campus – graduates and their families, many for the first time STAFFING: The University is OPEN. We ask the focus to be on commencement.Great chance to meet and work with staff from other departments. FOOD: Campus Center Dining, Tent on Circle Lawn, Clark Concessions, Food Truck GETTING HERE: Parking is limited. Take the T! Shuttles will start at 6:30am.Or, park at 75 Morrissey and get a $5 Sodexo gift card – that’s a medium coffee anda muffin, sweet! Additional Information: Security and bag checks, staff in/around ceremonies need to be credentialed, will distribute staff reference guide/FAQ sheet.
