  2. New times for Blocks • The times for each block have been changed: • Block 1 is 8:40 to 9:25 • Block 2 is 9:30 to 10:15 • Block 3 is 10:20 to 11:05 • Block 4 is 11:10 to 11:55 • Block 5 is 12:40 to 1:25 • Block 6 is 1:30 to 2:15 • Block 7 is 2:20 to 3:05 – there will not be a 3:00 bell

  3. Lockers • Lockers #1 to #30 are assigned to 8B • One locker per student – no sharing • Please bring a lock from home for your locker • While a combination lock is preferred, because the combination can be recorded in case you forget, a key lock is acceptable • If you lose the key, or your combination lock stops working, I can cut the lock off for you but you will be responsible for replacing it.

  4. Fire Drill/Bomb Threat • Fire exits poster is posted in every classroom – pay attention to which exit you are supposed to use for each room. • You will be lining up based on the class you are attending when the alarm sounds, NOT by homeroom. • Leave in an orderly fashion • The first student to the door holds it open until the last person is through • Students near windows, close them as they leave • Move to designated spot on field, remain in line and silent during attendance • If you are not with your class when the alarm sounds, join the closest class exiting. When outside, inform the teacher that you are not with your class and rejoin your correct class WITH THE TEACHER’S PERMISSION! • DO NOT return to the school until you hear an announcement that it is safe to do so.

Fire Drill cont’d • Classes/staff leaving through Exit 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 will meet on the back pathway next to the alley south of the school • Classes/staff leaving through Exit 1, 7, 8, 9, the gym, and 10 will meet in the field next to the ball diamond fence on the west side of the school. • After attendance, the runner will meet the secretary who will be stationed at the picnic table closest to the sand volleyball courts on the west side of the school

  7. Lock Down • Teachers will always have classroom doors locked, they will shut off the lights and have students take cover. • Students will remain extremely quiet at all times, do not use the phone and do not answer the door. • Students must stay away from all windows, especially if there are windows in the doors • If a class is outside evacuate to the farthest corner of the field and be prepared to move the evacuation site – St. Marguerite School

  8. Walks • According to our school division policy: Any travel off school ground by a class needs a letter home to parents with a permission slip attached • This letter would have to be sent to Mr. Fraser for approval at least 2 days prior to being sent home. • This means the chances of going for a walk during homeroom block are quite slim.

Agenda Dates - September • Tuesday September 10th, Open House BBQ and Bake Sale 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. • Tuesday September 17th, Opening Mass at STA starting at 9:30 a.m. • Monday September 23rd, Picture Day • Wednesday September 25th, Magazine Fundraiser begins • Friday September 27th, Terry Fox Run – will probably not be whole afternoon and be a different route.
