  2. Where Am I Now? • BHS • Hi my name is Camille Andersonand I am pursuing a career of a Nurse Anesthetist . • My Current GPA is a 3.6

  3. After High School.. • After graduating High School I will attend the University of Miami. • I will pursue a B.S. degree in Nursing. • This will take four years.

  4. After Receiving a B.S. in Registered Nursing (RN) • I will complete one year of acute-care nursing. • I will attend Wake Forest University for a graduate program to get my masters. • Then I will get my certification as a Nurse Anesthesiologist • Both of these together will take It will take 24-36 months of extra schooling.

  5. Requirements for Nurse Anesthetist • Credentials needed: A Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) or other appropriate baccalaureate degree, A current license as a registered nurse. At least one year’s experience in an acute care nursing setting. Graduation from an accredited graduate school of nurse anesthesia. These educational programs range from 24-36 months, depending upon university requirements, and offer a master’s degree. All programs include clinical training in university-based or large community hospitals. Pass a national certification examination following graduation. • State licensing: must receive a state license in addition to the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.

  6. Requirements for Nurse Anesthetist • Training:It takes a minimum of seven calendar years of education and experience to prepare a CRNA. The average student nurse anesthetist completes almost 2,500 clinical hours and administers about 850 anesthetics. • Active skills: Communication, Decision- Making, Teamwork and Leadership, Nursing. • It ranges from $156,000 - $206,000. • apply for a job at a hospital or work at a naval base.

  7. Where will I work • I will be able to work at multiple places, like a hospital, clinic, and also have my own private practice with a surgeon of some sort.
