SUN 29TH MAR 8.50 flight arrives Manchester Airport from Singapore – Times & Terminal TBC meet with DAP Rep in arrivals area meet with coach and driver from NMC transfer to Lake District by coach (allow 3 hrs) to hotel to check – in suggesting a hotel in Keswick or close by if timing allows we will do a guided group walk before dinner 1830 - group dinner & relax in hotel MON 30TH MAR 0800 - breakfast in hotel 1000 - group walk/trek with guide lunch taken during the walk afternoon to explore Keswick 1800 - group dinner coach to transfer group back to Hotel – Keswick Country House Hotel TUES 31ST MAR 0800 - breakfast in hotel 1000 - coach to Grasmere are for Wordsworth focus day visit the Wordsworth Museum Wordsworth workshop lunch taken during the day a boat trip on Derwent Water 1730 - group dinner 1930 - possible visit to Keswick Theatre by the Lake for show – waiting for theatre schedule 2200 - coach to transfer full group back to Hotel - Keswick Country House Hotel Itinerary

  10. UK Trip Kit List This kit list is a list of items needed for the entire trip. Please do not send any brand new or worn out items. Students need to be able to rely on their gear to see them through the trip. Each item should be marked with the student’s name. Students are required to carry their own luggage; a reasonable baggage limit is 8-15KG luggage. Hand Luggage 7KG Most Important • Passport and other travel documents – (2 photo-copies of each as well) • (Visas for entry into the UK (should they be required), and documents for re-entry back into Singapore) • Medical requirements • SJII School ID card with proof of age

Clothes • 1 Collared PE shirt or Collared senior school tee-shirt for flights • 3 – 4 Sets of comfortable clothes to layer and for drama workshops – Quick-dry recommended • (No short shorts, FBTs, no strappy, see-through tops or cut-offs.) • Set of nice clothes for performances- (Smart, Not formal) • Set of walking gear - long pants and long sleeved tops, warm fleece/ hoodie, waterproof outer shell • Set of warm sleep clothes – Comfortable long pants and a long sleeve shirt are best • Hat – Beanie for warmth • Gloves – Light wool • Scarf or wrap – Light for layering • Sun glasses • 2-3 changes of under garments (Please do not bring disposables) • 2-3 pairs of socks • Walking sports shoes or water-proof trekking boots for everyday walking • Flat, closed-toes shoes (Water proof) for evening outings

Food • Snacks (energy bars) for emergency – 3/1 coffee sachets/tea for late night. • Water bottle – at least 1 litre in capacity (drinks are not included in the cost of meals provided) • Personal medications – the school First Aid Kit does not stock prescription medications of any kind Wash kit • Personal Toiletries • Laundry travel wash- (Essential) • SmallDry bags- For toiletries and zip lock is fine for wallets, phones, cameras in case of wet weather) • British sterling cash for emergency use (100p-200p) • Shopping money for other snacks and souvenirs • Towel – Quick dry variety • Feminine personal sanitary needs

Others • Day pack for all excursions • Notebook and pencil • Camera and extra storage for images • Chargers and adaptors • Earphones • Moisturizer for skin and lips • Brush/comb, hair clips, hair elastics etc. • Sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher and waterproof) • Accessories for contact lenses if worn

Optional but advisable • Flip flops – to wear in accommodations • Extra glasses and keepers – in case you lose primary set • Playing cards or other games – you will have some free time • Watch – helps with time keeping • Hand sanitizer • Plasters and medical tape • Books or magazines for reading • Inflatable pillows for extra comfort long distance travel in coach

  15. Absolutely do not bring items • Lap-tops • Expensive / ‘sentimental’ jewelry – in case of loss or theft • Excessive cash • Stuffed toys • Sharp objects – (Swiss knives, scissors) • Toy weapons – (Bow and arrows, guns etc)

  16. This timetable could be subject to slight changes. Any questions or requests for changes should be made through the course leader. (Some activities are weather dependent or availability and will be replaced with suitable activities of equal value and appropriateness) • Your tour is on a Full-Board basis – breakfast in the hotel and dinner in different restaurants as listed. Each person will be given a £7.50 cash allowance per day to cover their lunches. • Dinners will be taken at a variety of restaurant types to give a flavour of what is available here in the UK.

  17. Deadlines • Friday 10th October 2014 - 1st Cheque Deposit is due • Thursday 20th November 2014 – Final Confirmation for the trip. Deposited forfeited after this date. • Wednesday 26th November 2014– 6.30pm - Compulsory • Monday 26th January 2015 – Final payment - $3600 - meeting at lunchtime • Friday 30th January 2015 - Visa needs to have been applied for and approved by this date – copy of passport, visa and other paper to school. • Friday27th February 2015 - Kit organised – Trip Booklet • Tuesday 3rd March 2015 – Lunchtime – Final check and room allocations • Tuesday 24th March 2015 – Final meeting
