  5. What Are We Dealing With?

  6. Mercury is a naturally occurring metal in the environment. Figure 1 Mercury recovered and being recycled

  9. Odorless, metallic, shiny, silver-white liquid and can be difficult to handle if spilled. Figure 4 Light bulbs being recycled

  10. In 1996 Federal regulations phased out the use of mercury in batteries. Figure 5 Batteries being recycled

  22. PPE Requirements

  23. Employees should have initial evaluations conducted prior for background monitoring. Figure 17 TSTC conducting medical surveillance prior to entry

  27. Do not use compressed airto remove mercury from protective clothing. Donot shake PPE. Figure 21 Tyvek suit outer clothing
