Surviving in an extreme environment • We were very lucky with the weather so we did quite well. • The key thing is taking a good amount of time for preparation. • We took time to understand the geographical location of the region where we were trekking. • We took a long time in preparation and we were relatively well equipped. We got very good clothing to keep us warm in this temperature and we read weather every day and keep ourselves vigilant about the coming danger, such as cold, stone fall, week ice and avalanche. • We also recognised the importance of using local knowledge to help us on our trip.
