  3. What We Believe • Few athletic endeavors require as much teamwork as the sport of volleyball. • Athletes who consistently practice, study video and other game play and apply the lessons learned are more likely to show improvement. • Your Raider coaches love this game. We are committed to your daughters, as athletes and as young women. We strive to develop the complete individual.

  4. Philosophy & Expectations #1. TEAM COMES (ALMOST) FIRST As Raider volleyball parents, we encourage you to support your daughter’s commitment to her team. Her individual goals and her team’s goals require an investment of time and energy. Help her to prioritize her academic requirements and family commitments so that things don’t become overwhelming.

  5. Philosophy & Expectations #2. RULES HELP THE TEAM RUN SMOOTHLY The packet that was sent home and signed by both you and your daughter contained rules on school & practice attendance, sportsmanship and other important characteristics of our program. Please take the time to read through the packet.

  7. Philosophy & Expectations # 4. PLAYING TIME IS EARNED • We understand that parents would like their child to play all the time, but there are many factors involved in playing time: skill level, work ethic, line-up & substitution rules of the game. • Fr level is developmental, JV is preparatory for varsity & the Varsity level goal is to put the most competitive lineup on the floor. • Playing time will only be discussed w/ athletes • Article on Parents and Playing time on table
