Realtime Student information system database with student data including (but not limited to) personal information , contact information, class rosters, attendance, discipline records, and grades Control and security of access (sometimes even control and security of read-only access) is absolutely critical ALL users are required to establish a new Realtime login and MUST maintain confidentiality of their login Confidential and Proprietary to New Brunswick Public Schools Slide 13

    14. Establishing Realtime Login Start Internet Explorer. Enter https://secure.fridaysis.com/newbrunswick in IE address bar. Old shortcuts on home personal computers will NOT work Old favorite hyperlinks on home personal computers will NOT work Enter Realtime username (i.e., most often, first initial last name). Enter the default password (nbps2012). Passwords are case sensitive. Enter Realtime passwords CAREFULLY. After five consecutive unsuccessful logins, Realtime will disable a user’s login requiring the user to request the Data Center to reset the login. Until the Data Center is able to reset the login, the user will NOT be able to login. After the login is reset, the user will have to establish a login again. 15. Establishing Realtime Login (Cont) For the first successful login, Realtime presents the user with a list of approximately twenty security questions. The user must provide an answer (that the user must remember) to three security questions of their own choosing. For subsequent successful logins, Realtime will present one of the security questions to which the user must provide the same answer. If/when Realtime asks if Realtime should remember the user logged in from the computer (actually, using the same IP address), select No. NBPS and nearly all home networks use dynamic addressing and the IP address likely will change for subsequent login attempts Selecting Yes will place your login at risk of being used by another user. Remember – you are responsible for your login even if the login is used by another user. If/when asked if the computer should remember the password, select No. Confidential and Proprietary to New Brunswick Public Schools Slide 15

    16. Establishing Realtime Login (Cont) For the first successful login, Realtime requires the user change the default password to a personal confidential password. Select the Password application. If this link is selected, Realtime will send the password to the user’s email address.` After an unsuccessful login attempt, the I Forgot My Passwork link is not displayed? Realtime has disabled the login (most likely because there have been five consecutive unsuccessful login attempts). The user must request the Data Center to reset the login. A user does not receive the password message? Realtime has disabled the login (most likely because there have been five consecutive unsuccessful login attempts).
