  4. Medical Practice # 1- Bleeding • Believed in bodily tensions • Used leeches or cut open a vein to bleed out • Thought this helped ; made it worse

  5. Medical Practice #2-Amputation • Musket balls/bayonets • Used amputation knife • Cut skin then bone • 35% survived
