There are endless Muslims on the planet who all have wish in life to perform Umrah and Hajj once in their lifetime. • They perform the pilgrimage not to just seek the blessings of Allah but also for the purity of their souls. • Although many people are aware of these two holy pilgrimages but most of them do not know the exact difference between the two and also their significance in life.

To do Umrah one has to perform various holy rituals that are as follows : • Performing Umrah involves circulating around Kaaba seven times under which three rounds have to be made fast and the next four rounds at a leisurely pace. • The pilgrimage involves the ritual of walking seven times back and forth between the hills of Safa and Marwah. • Another ritual that Muslims perform here is shaving head and beard that usually is performed by men that signify submission of will to God.

  4. Virtues of Umrah • Performing Umrah is considered to be an act of cleansing one’s soul from the past sins. It is believed that doing Umrah once in a year will definitely purify your soul from the past sins. • One of the virtues of Umrah is to get rid of poverty after completing the deed. • Apart from Hajj, Umrah is said to be holiest deed that one can perform in his/her life in order to please the Allah in the best manner. • Performing Umrah in the blessed month of Ramadan is considered equal to Hajj.
