Purpose of this meeting: • Meet coaching staff, AD, & Booster Club, • Program objective, policies & procedures, • MSHSL & athletic department policies, • Discuss tryouts/team placement/cuts, • Discuss fundraising, • Purchase required training uniform & backpack, • Answer questions. • College Recruiting Roundtable(Optional).

Program Objective The objective of the Roseville Area High School girls soccer program is to provide an opportunity for its participants to create and nurture positive and meaningful relationships and experiences, foster humble, hardworking, respectful, committed, sporting, and empowered young women, develop and refine individual technical and tactical skill, and to compete with all other girls soccer programs in the state while continuing, advancing, and creating the Legacy of Roseville Girls Soccer.

  7. Parent-Coach Contact The soccer field is an extension of the classroom and a great opportunity for life-lessons & parenting... • PURPOSE: To empower the young women of this program and foster appropriate communication between parents and coaches (thus modeling for our daughters).

Parent-Coach Contact • TEAM DESIGNATION and/or PLAYING TIME: Discussion with parent only after the player has discussed with Coach Cave. • PARENT CONCERN and/or COMMENT: • Never on field unless prearranged, • Never at home or cell unless coach initiated. • Never on Social Media • ISSUE WITH COACH: Must be discussed with coach first. Very sensitive issues to be directed to Coach Cave or Mr. Whisler.

  10. Parent-Coach Contact • PARENT / COACH RELATIONSHIPS: We want to build positive relationships with our parents. • BOTTOM LINE: To empower the young women of this program and foster appropriate communication between parents and coaches (thus modeling for our daughters).

RAHS expects all of its students will: • Respect the rights and beliefs of others, • Treat others with courtesy and consideration, • Be fully responsible for their own actions and the consequences of their actions, • Respect the property of others, • Respect and obey the rules of the school and the laws of their community, state, and country, • Show respect to those who are responsible for enforcing the rules of their school and laws of their community, state, and country.

Program Policy Highlights • Training and matches are mandatory! • Training uniform required for all training sessions, scrimmages (shorts & shirt) • C/JV will provide own BLACK match socks (Coaches have some for purchase $5) • Tape same color as socks • Shin guards! (All training sessions, all matches) • Encouraged ride bus home (no exceptions for Varsity) • No treat list. Players bring OWN water bottle.. • Training and matches (Varsity = RAHS, C/JV = RAMS)

Tryouts & Teams Designation • Goal is to keep all players who tryout, • We will carry as many teams as we can support, • Making teams (Try to create the best environment for the most players): • Most playing time for the most players • Comparable skill level regardless of age • Player development • Competitive teams • Balanced rosters • Must have training shorts & shirt [first initial, last name, grad year on tape] • More information on team philosophies in program manual.

Soccer Registration & Fees • ATHLETIC DEPT (Pay at Athletics Sign-Up): • $200.00 (paid at athletic sign-up) • Remember to register on the SOCCER website as well • PROGRAM • $10/training shirt AND $20/training shorts * • New shirt required, previous shorts fine. • $15 for previous training shorts • $50/program backpack (Optional for 9/JV) • VARSITY & JV (Letter home on Thursday) * • $60=Duluth Trip * Contact Coach Cave is cost is prohibitive

  22. Girls Soccer Spirit Wear ID Store will be open beginning tonight & closing Orders should arrive by the end of the first week of school. The link for the team identity store is in the LINKS section of the website.

Program Fundraising • Each program player is responsible for fundraising • JV & Varsity = $300, B/C Squad = $200 • Only $20 for over $500 in discounts • 100% of money goes to the girls soccer program • All money raised will directly benefit the girls in the program [Specifically soccer equipment, coaching, and other soccer related expenses that are not covered by the RAHS athletic department] • These are exclusive offers specific to our card & this combo of coupons cannot be found anywhere else.

  24. Program Fundraising • Wear RGS Gear (or at least RAHS gear) • Get out early (before other RAHS programs start soliciting) • Introduce yourself (Name, RAHS, Grade..) • Point out your favorite coupon • Know the businesses that are represented on the card
