Nithin Kantharaj’s Journey of Developing a Portable Drilling Machine

Nithin Kantharaj is currently working as a product engineer for a leading medical technology company in NJ. At a very young age, Nithin was able to develop a portable drilling machine that focused on the hurdles faced in the drilling of thin metal sheets, thin foils, and paper. The project aimed at designing and fabricating a self-clamping drilling machine which would help in fully reducing, if not eliminating, such undesirable outcomes in the drilling process. The design and analysis of this project was conducted using Solid Edge, AutoCAD, and CATIA respectively. The project was a success.
