Used for achieving a particular end. • 2nd. Marked by concern with…………… • 3rd. A temporary means to an end……. D. Notice His work in the world in vs.8-9. E. What He will do for believers in vs. 13-14.

  3. 2ND. TO RECEIVE THOSE PROPER HONORS DUE HIM. • A. This relates to the prophecy of Psalms . • B. Vs.10 answers why He is “CROWNED.” • C. He is indeed “THE CAPTAIN!”

  4. 3RD. HE ASCENDED AS A CONQUEROR! Psalms 68:18. • A. To lead all those in captivity. • B. What kind of gift for man did He get??? • C. Bible tells us that He conquered all evil.

  5. 4TH. HE ASCENDED AS A FORERUNNER. John 14: 2-4. • A. Who else was called this? • B. John for Him, and He for us. • C He paved “THE WAY’ and made it plain. • Observation……..

  6. 5TH. HE ASCENDED TO BE OUR ADVOCATE TO THE FATHER. • A. To welcome the 1st. Martyr to God. • B. To plead for us as we confess.1 Jn 1:9-. • C. Closely observe the words “I ascend…” • 1st. Shows our joint relation to God. • 2nd. Look at “THIS NEW THING.’’ • 3RD. New terminology. (Galatians 4:4-7.)
