  2. 2 1 Saving the PLC (LADDER) External Media NC HN123card (Virtual: COS2 Side) Project Save Project Open NC HN482card (SRAM/FROM) NC HN163card (Real: COS1 side) PC side Temporary Storage Area FROM area ROM Write Save Area for COS1 Onboard Edition area Copy When Power is on Open Area for COS2 Execute Ladder Edit/Monitor 1. Open ladder which is running in the NC on onboard edition area. 2. Save the opened ladder to the external media(USB, hard drive, etc) Page 42 Matrix Maint Manual

  3. Press DIAGNOS soft key

  4. Press VERSION soft key

  5. COS1 COS2 Versions of Ladders Press LADDER MONITOR soft key Drawing

  6. Press ENVIRON SETTING soft key

  7. Press CONNECT NC SETTING soft key

  8. Select M01 on drop down menu and Press SET soft key Press far left F1Display Menu Key once to get the first screen menu

  9. Step 1 (Open PLC) Press NC FILE soft key

  10. Press OPEN soft key

  11. Make sure that all files are selected--should be checked Press OPEN soft key

  12. Drawing Press OK soft key Press F1 Display Menu Key twice to get the first screen menu

  13. Step 2 (Save Project to External Media) Press EXTERNAL FILE soft key

  14. Press SAVE PROJECT soft key

  15. Make sure that all files are selected--should be checked Press EXTERNAL SAVE soft key

  16. Press DRIVE/PATH and select drive D for USB port D:\M01 Press PROJECT NAME and name ladder preferably with version

  17. Press SAVE soft key

  18. Press OK soft key once ladder is saved to external media

  19. Windows Explorer

  21. Repeat all of the previous steps • Select M02 for virtual ladder save

  22. Restoring the PLC (LADDER) STEPS: 1. Clear the ladder which runs in temporary storage area 2. Open the project saved in external media onto the onboard edition area 3. Load the opened ladder to the temporary storage area in the NC 4. Save the ladder into the ROM area(HN482 card) If steps 2 and 3 are performed without deleting the ladder in step 1 then there will be two different ladders registered Must be in Privileged Mode to upload ladder Page 45 Matrix Maint Manual

  33. All files should be checked Press DELETE Soft key

  34. Press YES Soft key

  35. May see this screen, if so press YES Soft key to stop the ladder

  36. Press OK Soft key Press F1 Display Menu Key twice to get the first screen menu

  37. Step 2 Notice Message Displayed Press EXTERNAL FILE Soft key Drawing Drawing

  38. Press OPEN PROJECT Soft key

  39. Select d: drive and M01 folder

  40. Select Lad_Real file for project to upload

  41. Press SELECT Soft key

  42. Make sure all files are checked if not press SEL. ALL/CANCEL Soft key Press OPEN Soft key

  43. May or May not get this message Press ALL YES Soft key

  44. Press OK Soft key Press F1 Display Menu Key twice to get the first screen menu

  45. Step 3 Drawing Drawing Press NC FILE Soft key

  46. Press SAVE Soft key

  47. Make sure that all files are checked Press SAVE Soft key

  48. Press OK Soft key

  49. Step 4 Press ROM WRITE Soft key Drawing Drawing
