Principales resultados • Desde 1997 se ha declarado un total de 2.472 nuevas infecciones por VIH, registrándose en 2010 un descenso de un 13,5% respecto a 2009. • En 2010 se han notificado 179 nuevos diagnósticos de VIH, lo que supone una tasa de 84,8/millón de habitantes. Tasa ligeramente superior a la registrada a nivel estatal (79,3 millón de habitantes). • El 75,8% de las nuevas infecciones corresponde a hombres y la edad media de las personas diagnosticadas es de 38 años. • En relación a la práctica de riesgo, la transmisión en hombres que tienen sexo con hombres (41,2%) casi iguala a la transmisión a través de relaciones heterosexuales (43%). • El 41,2% de las nuevas infecciones corresponde a personas originarias de otros países, principalmente latinoamericanas y africanas. • El 43,7% del total de nuevas infecciones presentó diagnóstico tardío (menos de 350 CD4).
