major studio project

This major studio project delves into the concept of flesh in art through De Kooning's perspective, exploring the idea of bringing life to creations. Inspired by the myth of Pygmalion, a live painting-performance unfolds overlaid with a 3-D projection. Executed through timed animations and OpenCV edge detection techniques, sketches evolve to blend dimension, digitality, and space. Witness the transformation from flat colors to mesmerizing 3-D forms, evoking a leap from traditional painting techniques into innovative realms of creativity.

  3. execution Live painting-performance overlaid with a 3-d projection on the columns in 12f 6e16th

  4. sketches Type I: timed animation using 3-d modellingoverlaying; separate bones combining to form the final shape of a skull which will ‘leap’ from the wall

  5. sketches

  6. sketches Type 2: using openCV edge detection to overlay polygonal pixel shapes while painting to transform the flat colour into 3-D …………(not sure what the final shape will be though, if using this)

  7. to be continued…..? thank you
