  4. Amatas Primary School • Area mapping • Interviews with local inhabitants • Developed study path near school • Educated 4 nature guides • Developed visions for nature, environment and outdoor activities

  5. Kurzemītes Primary School • Area mapping • Interviews with local inhabitants • Developed ideas for future outdoor activities • Developed proposals for improvement of pond near school

  6. Slokas Primary School • Area mapping • Survey of teachers • Discussed health concept and developed Health code and Action Plan • Elaborated suggestions for the school and local municipality • Organized final presentation with invited key persons from City Council

  7. Vestienas Primary School • Developed health concept • Area mapping • Elaborated proposals for necessary improvements • Discussed outdoor activities and development of Outdoor Class • Results presented to local municipality

  8. Conclusions • Project was very successful and the interest from invited schools was impressing • Outdoor teaching has high potential for development however there is a lack of information and motivation for schools • Future support from the Ministry of Education and Science is essential • Many Eco-schools in Latvia choose outdoor teaching and build their Outdoor Classes
