Understanding Plot Plans: Key Features and Differences from Site Plans

This chapter discusses the essential components of a plot plan, which visually displays the site, location, and orientation of buildings on a property. Key features include the length and bearing of property lines, building outlines, land contours, and elevations of property corners. It also addresses the meridian arrow, existing trees and landscaping, pathway and utility placements, as well as easements and service access points. Furthermore, it distinguishes between plot plans and site plans, emphasizing the inclusion of both property details and proposed constructions in plot plans.
